Oh, Broadway fame can be fleeting.
Last week, The Cricket reported on Keala Settle, a Southern Utah University alumna who's getting positive reviews for her performance in "Hands on a Hardbody," a musical that opened on Broadway on March 21.
Alas, the kudos will be short-lived. The Hollywood Reporter wrote today that the musical (with music written by Phish frontman Trey Anastasio and lyricist Amanda Green) will close with this Saturday's performance.
The show (based on a 1997 documentary) tells the stories of disparate people brought together by their ambition to win an endurance contest which has them keeping their hands on a pick-up truck, until the last person is standing.
