After Thursday's performance at Provo's Velour, American Fork-based rootsy singer-songwriter Joshua James will finish his seven-week-long national tour leg in Salt Lake City.

While James talked about the "exceptional" days he had on the road touring in support of his latest album "From The Top of Willamette Mountain," he added in a phone interview that he misses "my lady and my animals."

This weekend, back at his farm, he will dive into spring planting season, planning on a future harvest of okra, kale, carrots, corn and pumpkin, as well as eating eggs from his farm's chickens and cheese made from his goat's milk.

In addition, he will also be recording albums from some Utah County acts he produces, and is prepping the May 7 release of his four-song EP "Beware!" taken from James' "Willamette" sessions.

The EP will be available at the Urban Lounge show before it is available nationally.

Isaac Russell, a member of James' band, will open the show.
