A memorial service for Craig Patterson, the Utah Department of Transportation avalanche forecaster killed in an avalanche on April 11, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Albion Grill at Alta Ski Area.

Organizers said photos of the 34-year-old forecaster, who leaves behind a wife and daughter, are welcome along with contributions (in lieu of flowers) to the Craig Patterson Memorial Fund at any Key Bank. Checks also may be sent to the Craig Patterson Memorial Fund, 520 Crestview Drive, Park City, UT 84098.
