Tuesday on Utah TV: See celebrities act like jerks on "Who Gets the Last Laugh?"

The new TBS series Who Gets the Last Laugh? (8 p.m., TBS) is somewhat deceptively titled. It should be "Who's the Meanest Celebrity?"

"Last Laugh" is "Punk'd," but instead of celebrities pulling mean pranks on other celebrities, it's celebrities playing mean pranks on regular people.

There's a brilliant idea!

Host Donald Faison ("Scrubs") introduces three celebrities in each episode - first up are Kunal Nayar, Bill Bellamy and Jeff Dye. Each of them pulls a mean prank on regular folks. Then the audiences votes on whose mean prank was the funniest.Practical jokes are generally more cruel than amusing. And some of the practical jokes in "Last Laugh" leave the victims in tears.And leave the celebrities looking like jerks.This comes to us from the producers of "Punk'd," so Ashton Kutcher and Co. actually think that rich, famous people tormenting regular folks is funny.

It's not.

The regular folks sign the releases to appear on the shows, of course, Because everyone is desperate to be on TV these days. But that's another sad story.
