Landing fees

In "Airport towers " (Forum, April 17), David Draper bemoans the coming closing of airport towers in Ogden and Provo due to the savings from sequestration's automatic federal budget cuts — "Everyone I know who owns their own airplane believes that this will be very inconvenient for them."
What's wrong with those who can afford to purchase and run private planes paying landing fees to keep these towers open, rather than we less fortunate taxpayers who never use such extravagances?
