T. Boone Pickens is on a national campaign to replace diesel engines with ones that run on less-polluting natural gas. Pickens has a company that is building a network of natural gas fuel stations (every 250 miles) across the nation.

California is experimenting with electric cars. So if the technology evolves, maybe in 10 years Salt Lake will have blue skies, just like Park City.
