Paying electric bill

In "The guv and electric cars" (Forum, April 13), Will Finlayson proposes that electric cars be given free downtown charging stations that will be paid for by drivers of non-electric cars. He wants to turn my city streets over to the five people who own electric cars.

No. This idea won't fly, not while lithium-ion batteries in Boeing planes burn on tarmacs (the same batteries in electric cars) and we are still trying to get our mayor to get bicyclists to obey the traffic laws.

Who profits from this? Follow the money. Who owns Rocky Mountain Power?
