Police officers and their families on Saturday helped dedicate the Fallen Peace Officer Trail near Moab.

The 14-mile all-terrain vehicle trail was originally intended to be named the Brody Young Trail in honor of the Utah State Parks ranger who survived a shooting in 2010. Organizers say Young insisted that the trail be named for all officers killed or wounded in the line of duty.

The trail head is 10 miles north of Moab along U.S. Highway 191, mile marker 139.
