Environmental activist Tim DeChristopher talked with Tribune reporter Jennifer Napier-Pearce about activism, his prison term and what his future holds.
DeChristopher was released just Sunday from his 21-month term for fraudulently bidding on public land leases at a 2008 Bureau of Land Management oil and gas auction. He had hoped to prevent drilling on sensitive land.
"Bidder 70," a documentary about him, screened Monday night at the Tower Theatre in Salt Lake City and simultaneously at locations across the country in honor of Earth Day.
