Deep breaths, everybody: Obama is OK, AP's Twitter account hacked

The Associated Press says hackers caused false reports of explosions at the White House. The attack on AP's Twitter account and AP mobile app was preceded by a phishing attempt on AP's corporate network.

With many Americans still on-edge in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Boston, a flurry of panic flitted across Twitter — and momentarily tanked the stock market — after a tweet published by the Associated Press' account falsely reported that President Barack Obama had been injured in explosions at the White House.
