Utah prison officials have identified the inmate found dead in his cell Saturday morning as Rolando Cardona-Gueton.

Officials said they have not been able to locate any next of kin for the 62-year-old man, who had been serving time since January 2011 for theft and drug distribution convictions.

Cardona-Gueton was found dead in his cell at the Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison.

Prison officials said the Gunnison Police Department continued to investigate whether foul play was involved in Cardona-Gueton's death.

An autopsy had been performed, but the results of that were not released Tuesday.

The Gunnison Police Department could not be reached Tuesday for comment.
