A Tuesday afternoon crash in Hurricane left three people injured and damaged three vehicles.

The crash occurred at the intersection of State Road 9 and 3400 West, according to a statement from Hurricane Police.

Emergency responders extracted on person from a vehicle. One person was taken to the hospital by a Life Flight helicopter, and two others were transported by ambulance.

Hurricane Police spokeswoman Nancy Perkins said Tuesday night that she was not sure whether the person who had to be extricated was also the same person who was transported in the helicopter. Information on how the crash occurred or the severity of the injuries also weren't available Tuesday evening.

The crash diverted westbound traffic on SR-9 for more than an hour. Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue and Utah Department of Transportation also responded to the scene.
