Utah continues to face the powers of the Pac-12. This time, it is all about golf.
The Utah men's golf team heads to Los Angeles to compete in the 54th Annual Pac-12 Conference Championship, which begins Monday at the par-70, 7,236-yard Los Angeles Country Club.
Five Pac-12 teams are ranked in the top 10 nationally, led by defending conference champions and No. 1-ranked California. The Golden Bears are joined in the top 10 by No. 4 Washington, No. 5 UCLA , No. 7 USC and No. 9 Stanford.
The first two rounds begin Monday at 9 a.m. (MDT), followed by the third round Tuesday. The final 18 holes will be completed Wednesday. Six golfers from each school will compete with the top five individual scores from each round comprising the team score.
In 2012, Ute freshman Myles Sullivan tied for 27th and led the Utes with a nine-over par 293 (76-73-72-72). Sullivan has missed the 2012-13 season with an injury.
