West Jordan

New outpatient clinic for youth • The West Ridge Academy, 5500 W. Bagley Park Road in West Jordan, now offers outpatient mental-health therapy for youth and their families. In operation since 1964, the academy aims to provide a continuum of care for children age 8 and older who are dealing with depression, anxiety, school performance, ADHD, addiction, opposition and other mental- and behavioral-health issues. Beer, blues & brats party • The Crossroads Urban Center will host its third annual benefit to raise funds for the 47-year-old nonprofit that serves the underserved. This fun afternoon goes from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Community Co-op warehouse, 1726 S. 700 West, Salt Lake City, and tickets cost $45. The menu includes beer from Epic Brewing, brats from Colosimos, plus baked beans, cole slaw, salad bar, soft drinks, a silent auction, hand-knitted socks, and music from Number Ones.
