Utah woman critically injured, two others hospitalized, in Magna crash

A woman is in critical condition after running a red light Saturday and getting T-boned in a Magna intersection.

She was driving a silver Honda west on State Road 201 about 1 p.m. when she ran the red light to turn left at 7200 West, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Jacob Cox. An eastbound Ford F-250 hit the Honda, causing the truck to go off the road and roll onto its roof.

A second eastbound truck also struck the Honda, though that collision was "a minor, glancing" one, according to UHP.

The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Cox said. The two people in the truck — a male and female — were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. All motorists involved in the accident were wearing seat belts.

UHP shut down northbound and westbound lanes around the intersection so they could investigate and clear the crash.

Investigators were not immediately able to confirm the identity of the Honda driver.
