Search and rescue workers were at Flaming Gorge Reservoir on Monday looking for a missing fisherman.

Daggett County sheriff's spokeswoman Susie Potter said boaters called 911 just before 6 p.m. Sunday when they found the missing man's boat partially submerged in the Jug Hollow area of the popular northeastern Utah-western Wyoming recreation site.

The missing man's identity was not released, but Potter did say that authorities believe the man is from Wyoming, and was alone in the boat at the time it apparently capsized.

Potter said that conditions at Flaming Gorge on Sunday "were very poor with high winds and treacherous waters."

As of Monday evening, Potter said that search and rescue crews from around the region were still searching for the man. They were set up to work as late into the night as they could, he said.
