Orem police have released a composite sketch of a suspect in an aggravated assault case in hopes someone might recognize the man and help bring him to justice.
Orem police Sgt. Craig Martinez said the suspect described as a 6-foot-1 white male in his mid-20s with a stocky build and short brown hair is sought in an April 18 attack on a GameStop store employee at the University Mall.
The suspect, along with a heavy-set white female, had come into the store around noon that day to trade in gaming hardware and software. When the man could not provide a valid form of identification and the employee told him he could not do business with him, the suspect came around the counter and repeatedly punched the 27-year-old employee in the face.
The man and woman then fled the store. When police arrived, they had left the mall grounds.
"The employee had to go to the hospital and underwent surgery on his face," Martinez said.
GameStop is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the male suspect.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Orem police at 801-229-7070.
