The Daggett County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday identified a boater feared drowned in the Flaming Gorge Reservoir this past weekend.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Susie Potter said Danny Angelo Durante, 46, of Jackson, Wyo., has been missing since Sunday afternoon when his partially submerged and empty boat was found in the Jug Hollow area.

Search efforts since, including use of sonar equipment provided by the Utah Department of Public Safety and Summit County, continued late Monday and into early Tuesday morning without a trace of Durante being found, Potter said.

In addition to county search and rescue crews, the continuing search effort is being aided by state parks and wildlife personnel and a DPS dive team.

Durante is believed to have been alone on the boat when it capsized due to extremely poor weather conditions on Sunday, Potter said.
