Mother's Day dining: Utah restaurants serving special meals

Everyone knows that if you really want to pamper mom on Mother's Day, you need to take her to a nice restaurant.

More than one-quarter of American adults will celebrate the holiday, which is Sunday, May 12, by dining out, according to new research from the National Restaurant Association. The research also shows that nearly one in 10 adults will rely on a restaurant for takeout or delivery for their Mother's Day meal.

Utah contributes to the trend, as dozens of dining establishments will be open and serving families.

The Tribune has gathered a list of options to help you pick just the right place for mom whether she wants brunch, lunch or dinner. Prices listed to not include tax, tip or alcoholic beverages.

Whatever you do, make your reservations soon, as "Mother's Day remains the most popular holiday on which to dine out," according to Hudson Riehle, with association. "Eight in 10 consumers say going to restaurants is a better use of leisure time than cooking and cleaning up, and that is especially true on special occasions."
