More poetry, please

What a wonderful, full page of poetry by young students ("Moved to tell it in verse," Tribune, April 21). Why don't we get more of this?

I could not read each winning poem of the Junior Creative Poetry Contest just once. I had to read and read, spending almost an hour reading and reflecting, never quite coming to a conclusion as to which of the nine poems I liked best. I loved it!

I finally settled on 12th-grader Alexandria Robinson's "Ballerina Feet," although fourth-grader Mariel Swindler's "Desert" ran a close second.

Kudos to all of the winners! And when can we expect more such poetry in the paper?
