A man who entered a Millcreek bank Friday afternoon in a hard hat and construction vest wasn't there to make repairs — he was after cash.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the man robbed a teller at US Bank, 888 E. 4500 South, and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He did not show or threaten any weapons during the robbery.

Surveillance photos released by police do show the man yelling and pointing his finger at the bank's clerk and at another man in the bank. Besides the vest and hat, he also had long brown hair that appeared to be a wig, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man with a mustache in his 40s, about 5-foot 10-inches tall. He had a white bandana around his neck, a blue long sleeve shirt and jeans.

Police said the man was last seen leaving the scene in a red Chevy Blazer.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-5950.
