Sandy • Real Salt Lake and the Vancouver Whitecaps are still searching for a goal after 45 minutes of soccer.

RSL headed into the locker room Saturday evening scoreless after the first half of a match for the ninth time in 10 games this season.

Salt Lake has controlled possession against the Whitecaps so far and has created opportunities. Midfielder Javier Morales and forward Joao Plata both have had shots on goal saved.

Defender Chris Schuler saw a header off a Morales corner kick go just wide of the post.

The Whitecaps, meanwhile, have been most dangerous off their corner kicks. Defender Andy O'Brien and forward Daigo Kobayashi have been on the ends of Camilo Sanvezzo corners, but were unable to finish them.
