Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker and Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams led a group of commuter bicyclists Tuesday from Liberty Park to the Salt Lake County Government Center and City Hall in celebration of the annual Mayors' Bike to Work Day.

The yearly ride helps kick off the statewide Bike Month of May and is a reminder that commuting by bicycle has become easier thanks to new and ongoing improvements around the city and across the county.

"This is one of my favorite events and one that grows every year as more and more residents choose bikes as the best way to get back and forth to work," Becker said.

Added McAdams, "Biking to work can save you money, make you healthier and contribute to better air quality."
