Ideas get a quick pitch at Utah 'Speed Teching' event

The University of Utah's second annual "Speed Teching" Showcase Tuesday brought together more than 50 inventors and technology developers from the area's universities to meet with private investors and venture capitalists.
The event, in the Founders Room at Zions Bank in downtown Salt Lake City, featured the investors pitching their ideas in short bursts from table-to-table in a format resembling speed-dating.
The aim is that such quick presentations will lead to future partnerships for seed funding or a joint venture.
