For going 7-1 in April, BYU's Patrick Kawka was named the West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Month. It is his second such award.
The Nevada native recorded wins over No. 29 Andrew Bettles from Boise State and No. 8 Sebastian Fanselow from Pepperdine. Kawka, who is ranked No. 35 nationally and the No. 1 singles player for BYU, led the Cougars to a second-place finish in the league in both the regular season and tournament play.
The junior also won the award for his performance in January.
Last week, Kawka was named to the All-WCC First Team.
