Women's softball: Two Aggies earn All-WAC honors

Utah State infielder Christine Thomsen was selected to the All-Western Athletic Conference first team, while teammate Hailey Froton was a second-team selection.

New Mexico State's Staci Rodriguez was named WAC Player of the Year, while San Jose State's Amanda Pridmore was named Pitcher of the Year. Meanwhile, Louisiana Tech's Anna Cross was named Freshman of the Year and San Jose State's Peter Turner was named Coach of the Year.

Thomsen, a senior from Fresno, Calif., batted a team-high .425 with a .513 slugging average.

Froton, a sophomore outfielder from Temecula, Calif., hit .304 while driving in 18 runs.

Utah State went 11-43 in 2013, 5-16 in conference play.
