Big Sky softball: 2 SUU players named to 1st team

Southern Utah's shortstop Kelli Hales and centerfielder Kylee Wolf who were both named to the All-Big Sky Conference first team while transfer pitcher Ariel Zimmerman was unanimously named the league's Newcomer of the Year.

SUU sluggers Mikkel Griffin and Kelsey Bryant both earned spots on the second team.

Weber State pitcher Morgan Allaband was selected to the second team.

Idaho State catcher Vicky Galasso was named the Player of the Year after leading the conference with a .544 batting average as well as 31 RBI. Pitcher of the Year was Portland State's Anna Bertrand, who racked up 14 conference wins, while ISU first baseman Maddy Hickman, who hit .431 with 21 RBI, was the Freshman of the Year.
