Utah's forecast heading toward the weekend calls for isolated thunderstorms under partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the mid-70s along the Wasatch Front and mid-80s in the southern reaches of the state.
The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of rain in northern Utah on Friday, mirroring Thursday's forecast. Utah's Dixie, meanwhile, looked for a 40 percent chance for precipitation both days.
The Utah Division of Air Quality rated breathability statewide as "Green," or healthy. However, allergy sufferers will not get a break: the Utah Allergy & Asthma pollen index showed elevated levels for mulberry, maple, oak and sycamore.
Salt Lake City's high temperature Friday was pegged at 76, identical to that forecast for Thursday; Ogden looked for 75s both days; Provo 76 and 73; Logan 76 and 74; Wendover 77 and 74; Duchesne 71 and 68; Cedar City 71 and 65; St. George 84 and 77; and Moab 74 and 64 degrees.
