Whining about Pledge

In "Forced to pledge" (Forum, May 10), Alex Burnett stated that he is upset that students in high schools, like himself, are now required to recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day instead of once a week.

If he and his friends are bored by this recitation, they could do it in honor of our veterans — some of whom will never again be able to see their flag, hold their flag or stand and honor their flag.

Quit whining and think about it!
