Utah volleyball players Morgan Odale and Chelsey Schofield were selected for the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Senior A2 Program between June 25-July 4 in conjunction with the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships.

The US A2 Team roster includes 48 athletes from 29 different schools across the country and will be divided into four equal teams during a six-day training period to start the program. Each A2 team will compete in pool play against one another as well as the top four Premier Volleyball League (PVL) teams.

"We are excited for Morgan and Chelsey for making the USA A2 team this summer," Utah coach Beth Launiere said. "It is an honor to have two Utah players represented on the USA team and an honor for them to have USA on their jersey. It will be a great competition and an opportunity to play high level volleyball during the summer in preparation for the 2013 Utah volleyball season."

Last season, Odale became the 13th member of Utah's 1,000-kill club and is also poised to become the eighth member of the school's 1,000-dig club. Schofield is 291 kills shy of 1,000 kills and has 41 career double-figure-kill matches.
