Excellence in the Community to present Wasatch Jazz Project at the Gallivan every Tuesday

Excellence in the Community and the Gallivan Center have teamed up to host the Wasatch Jazz Project at the Gallivan every Tuesday evening from 7:30-9:30 (with a couple of exceptions) from May 21 to mid-September.

The Wasatch Jazz Project Big Band, founded in 2004 and under the artistic direction of Carol Steffens, is a 19-piece big band amd will kick off the series on May 21.

There will be a dance floor and admission is free. Everyone is welcome, so bring your bring blankets, chairs, etc.When Exellence founder Jeff Whiteley began the Excellence project in 2005, he talked about presenting regular big band swing dances in downtown Salt Lake City.

These dances are in addition to regular Excellence concerts.
