Jennifer Volkening was on a family fishing trip on Saganaga Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Ares of Minnesota in June of 2012 when she hooked up with this great smallmouth bass. Todd Volkening, her husband, reports that it was her first trip to Minnesota and the first time she was fishing for smallmouth. "This day we caught so many smallmouth bass that we lost count, and the smallest fish we caught that day was around 15 inches. It was an epic day that I doubt will ever be duplicated, and I was glad to be able to experience it with my wife," Todd wrote.
