Ex-Brigham Young University field-goal kicker Rep. Jason Chaffetz wants everyone to share his disgust of the tragic affair at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya ("Chaffetz: Obama impeachment 'possible' over Benghazi attack," Tribune May 13). Where was his outrage during the reign of terror under President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney? Chaffetz, R-Utah, is simply trying to gain attention by grandstanding.

American voters need to start taking their brains to the voting booth; otherwise, this is what we'll continue to get: underqualified candidates who refuse to focus on the important issues that will help our country solve its real problems.
