Investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever torched part of an Ogden church earlier this month.

Sometime during the evening of May 5, a Sunday, someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the kitchen window of a meeting house of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1590 13th St. A release from ATF on Monday said that "several incendiary devices" were used in the arson.

Maintenance workers reported the fire Monday morning, which had already burned itself out by then and was contained to the kitchen.

The ATF joined in the investigation into the fire with Ogden officials since the arson occurred at a church. The federal agency is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the whoever committed the crime. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Ogden Police at 801-395-8221, the ATF Arson Hotline at 888-283-3473 (888-ATF-FIRE), or the ATF's Salt Lake City Field Office at 801-524-7070.
