Weber State sends 11 to NCAA track prelims

Eleven Weber State athletes, including record-setting Amber Henry, are set to compete beginning Thursday at the 2013 NCAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Championships this weekend in Austin, Texas.

The top 48 athletes in each event in the western United States qualify for the West Preliminary Championships. The top 12 times/marks at both the East and West Preliminary Meets will qualify for the NCAA Championships on June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.

Those competing include Isaac Akers, 400 meter hurdles; John Coyle, 3,000 meter steeplechase; Dustin Durfee, 400 meter hurdles; Mike Hardy, 3,000 meter steeplechase; Cylor Morgan, Long Jump; Trevor Ricks, 3,000 meter steeplechase; Amber Henry, 3,000 meter steeplechase; Tiffany Hellstrom, Javelin; Laken Hintze, 3,000 meter steeplechase.
