Meteorologists expect Utah's Memorial Day weekend will conclude the way it started: warm and breezy.

The above-normal temperatures and ample sunshine will continue into Sunday and Monday, with breezy conditions and the chance of a few isolated showers and thunderstorms across northern and central Utah. While northern Utahns can look forward to highs in the mid 70s to upper 80s, southern Utahns can expect to hit temperatures nearing 90 before the long weekend is over, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.

As people get outdoors to enjoy the sunshine and time off, the NWS wants to remind everyone to exercise extreme caution near waterways, especially with children and pets. Rivers and streams across the state are still swift and cold.

The breezy weather expected for the state might be carrying a fair amount of allergens. The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma pollen index noted high amounts of oak, grass and mold in the air as of Friday.

Otherwise, the Utah Division of Air Quality forecasts healthy air for the rest of the long weekend.

Salt Lake City's high for Sunday is expected to be 82, with a dip to 75 on Monday; Ogden will be 81 and 74 degrees, respectively; Provo 82 and 78; Logan 80 and 74; Wendover 79 and 74; Duchesne 79 and 75; Cedar City 76 and 74; St. George 88 and 87; and Moab 87 and 86 degrees.
