Fitness for seniors • Shake It Up, Boomers, a free day of fitness for people who are 60 or older, is being offered Thursday, May 30, at the Clearfield Aquatic Center, 825 S. State St. Participants can try out one or all of the classes, which are specifically designed for seniors. The Arthritis Foundation's aquatic program will be held at 10 a.m.; a Zumba Gold class at 11 a.m.; Silver Sneakers, a variety of exercises to music to increase strength and range of movement, at noon; and a cardio floor and weight room open house, starting at 1 p.m.

Help for youth • The George S. and Dolores DorĂ© Eccles Foundation has donated $35,000 to the YMCA of Northern Utah. The grant will help more low income youth attend Camp Roger and participate in the YMCA's Out-of-School programs in Weber and Salt Lake counties.
