Right to protest

While returning from the Memorial Day program at West Jordan's Veterans Memorial Park, I was struck by the irony that the Westboro Baptist Church (and others) has the right to protest at military funerals because the men and women they are protesting gave their lives to protect that right to protest.

Any guesses as to whether Adolf Hitler, Ho Chi Minh or Saddam Hussein would have allowed these protests?

As always, West Jordan hosted a great program. Mayor Melissa Johnson and her people deserve a standing ovation for their service to our veterans.
