Utah Department of Transportation crews have repaired a stretch of Interstate 15 that buckled due to weekend heat.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson confirmed Monday that the HOV (high occupancy vehicle) and left inside lanes of I-15 southbound near Bluffdale had been reopened.

The two lanes had been closed down Sunday afternoon near 14600 South after 90-plus degree weather damaged the roadway's asphalt surface, causing at least two vehicular tire blowouts.

No injuries were reported.
