Joshua Peterman, a shareholder at the Salt Lake City law firm of Cohne, Rappaport & Segal, was named the "Fittest Attorney in Utah" for the second year in a row. Peterman placed first overall at a recent competition at Salt Lake City Crossfit to benefit the Anne Stirba Cancer Foundation and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Edward Vasquez, also a shareholder at CRS, placed first in the men's over-40 division, making CRS the "Fittest Law Firm in Utah."

William Meaders Jr., a real estate attorney and shareholder in the Utah law firm of Kirton McConkie, was recently honored by the Utah State Bar with its "Distinguished Real Property Practitioner of the Year" award.

America First Credit Union has created a marketing, communication and service-quality division. Tammy Gallegos, who in the past has overseen service quality, has been named vice president of the new division, and Lisette Thurgood is the service quality manager. Nicole Cypers has been promoted to public relations and social media manager, Brent Van Dyke to marketing manager and Kim Choate to division vice president. Also, Troy Stevenson has been named vice president of product management.

Chris Williams, Davis School District's community relations director, has been named the "Professional of the Year" by the Utah School Public Relations Association. The award marked the first time the group had given out the honor. Williams has been with the district since 1999. He holds a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and a master's degree from Westminster College.

Morris N. Poole, an orthodontist with offices in Logan and Smithfield, and in Preston, Idaho, has been elected the 2013-14 secretary-treasurer of the American Association of Orthodontists, the world's oldest and largest dental specialty organization.

Anticipating a busy summer season, Utah Olympic Park outside of Park City has named Jennifer Clarke its public activities development manager, responsible for overall guest service and sales. Scott Kauf will serve as mountain adventure manager over operations, guest experience and safety, and Kurt Warren, who has spent the last seven years at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, will be in charge of the park's various operating systems and its extensive grounds. In addition, Sandy Chio was hired as marketing director by the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, which oversees the park and the oval, to "lead its strategic direction, focusing on promotions, communications and online efforts."

Jeremy Jensen of IPG Commercial Real Estate and Chris Falk of Newmark Grubb Acres were recently awarded the Society of Industrial and Office Realtor designation. They also joined the Utah chapter of SIOR, a professional real estate group of industrial and office brokers.
