Over the past six months, multitudinous allegations have been leveled against Utah Attorney General John Swallow. He has been accused of many things, including bribery, extortion and numerous ethics violations.

Yet Swallow refuses to even entertain the notion of resigning. If he isn't willing to do the right thing and make a dignified exit from public office, then the Legislature needs to intervene and make the decision for him.

With every passing day, Swallowgate continues to widen. It is a pox on the Office of Attorney General and the state of Utah, and it will continue to be one until Swallow is removed from the picture.

The Utah Legislature needs to act now. Not next week. Not next month. Not next year. Now!

I beseech everyone to urge their representatives to take immediate action. The future of our state depends on it!
