I've been doing some thinking about LGBTQ rights (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and now queer).

Why don't we push beyond having only LGBTQ be a protected class of citizens. Why don't we extend the protection to LGBTQRST, or even LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ.

For example, those born with a strong desire to ride skateboards (R) shouldn't be discriminated against. And those who enjoy singing (S) at dinner should have equal protection of the law. And you can't forget those good folks who take TRAX (T), or women (W) who want more than one husband?

Where do we stop adding letters to what should be the only protected class — U.S. citizen?
