With border security the talk of the nation, I wonder why it is not a problem for our military instead of the separate Department of Homeland Security? The military is one of the biggest parts of our federal budget, and it is already charged with the defense of our nation. Why not use our soldiers to defend us here?

Instead of buying a couple of new weapons of mass destruction this year to use over there, maybe we could bring some of our boys home to build and maintain our own borders. Why protect the borders of other countries when we need to secure our own.

After all, just what are we protecting in Germany, Japan and Korea, anyway?
