College baseball: BYU's Jacob Hannemann on Louisville Slugger freshman team

BYU outfielder Jacob Hannemann was selected to the 2013 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American team. The team was name by the publication Collegiate Baseball.

Hannemann and left-handed pitcher P.J. Conlon of San Diego were the lone representatives of the West Coast Conference named to the team.

Hannemann was the WCC Freshman of the Year, was selected to the All-WCC First Team and the All-WCC Freshman Team by the coaches. Additionally, he was named College Sports Madness WCC Freshman of the Year and College Sports Madness All-WCC.

He led all WCC freshmen with a .380 batting average during league play, with 15 extra-base hits and 26 runs scored. He slugged .630, posted a .426 on-base percentage and stole seven bases in eight attempts against WCC opponents.
