Food briefs: Charity breakfast at Blue Lemon, Cannella's anniversary

The Blue Lemon restaurant will donate $1 to the Utah Adoption Exchange for every breakfast item purchased June 17-22. Restaurant owner Aaron and Lychelle Day, who are adoptive parents, have added six new breakfast entrees for the event. The non-profit adoption exchange recruits families for children available for adoption.

When • Monday through Saturday, June 17-22, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cannella's turns 35

Salt Lake City's Cannella's Restaurant will celebrates its 35th anniversary with free appetizers, pizza, and cake, along with merchandise including coffee mugs and T-shirts.

Savory Salt Lake

KUER's second annual Savory Salt Lake tasting event, will feature bites from area restaurants and businesses. Celebrity judges will select the best offerings. Guests will vote for the People's Choice award. Proceeds from the event benefit the radio station.

Grand opening of Culinary Institute

The Park City Culinary Institute will hold a grand opening. Meet the chefs who teach classes, sample local gourmet foods and beer and get to know local farmers.

Limited edition beer

Uinta Brewing Co. will be introduce Cahoots Double Rye IPA this month. The beer, produced under the brewery's higher-alcohol Crooked Line, is described as "subtly spiced and distinctly hoppy." It was made in collaboration with homebrewer and Salt Lake Tribune photographer Chris Detrick. Just 120 barrels were produced.

Special wine pairing

La Caille will showcase the wines from New Zealand's Craggy Range Winery during a special dinner. Steve Smith, who was named as "one of the 50 most influential people in the world of wine" by Decanter Magazine, will be on hand to talk about the wine and answer questions.

Dairy Days at Thanksgiving Point
