Righties and lefties, strikeouts and wins, this year's Tribune all-state baseball MVPs were more than a presence on the mound, they dominated the opposition, simultaneously giving their teams a chance to win and imposing their will.

While these MVPs did hit, and were legitimate threats at the plate, their legacies are on the mound and their variety of pitches and deliveries so often kept batters perplexed and in search of answers all year long.

Bingham senior Chase Tavonatti helped lead the Miners to the Class 5A state title.

Salem Hills senior Colton Hill earned the start in the Class 4A title game, helping the Skyhawks capture the crown.

Snow Canyon senior Riley Gates helped the Warriors rally out of the losers bracket to repeat as the Class 3A state champs.

And Beaver senior Sam Myers guided the Beavers to an undefeated run through Region 13 before bowing out of the state playoffs.

Snow Canyon coach Reed Secrist earned the nod as the coach of the year.
