West Jordan police are asking for the public's help in identifying and bringing to justice an auto theft suspect.

Police Sgt. Dan Roberts released images captured from a security camera showing the suspect outside a Maverik store at 2714 W. 9000 South on Sunday. The white male adult jumped into and drove away in a black 2002 Nissan Altima that had been left running in front of the store.

Police located the abandoned vehicle Tuesday morning, parked at the 2100 South TRAX station lot.

Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call West Jordan police at 801-840-4000.
