Double giant flags mark Flag Day in Sandy

Students from the Challenger School watch Friday as a huge flag is raised at Challenger's offices in Sandy. A similar flag was raised at the same time at the nearby corporate headquarters of Colonial Flag to mark Flag Day and the 236th birthday of Old Glory. Colonial Flag, a flag manufacturer, has had a 120-foot flagpole at its Sandy offices for more than 15 years, flying a 30-foot-by-60-foot flag. Last year a twin flagpole was erected across the street at the Challenger offices.
