I rarely LOL at a legitimate news story, but Utah Attorney General John Swallow's comments as reported in "Utah A.G. John Swallow: I did nothing wrong and won't resign" (Tribune June 13) were a real knee-slapper.
In response to Gov. Gary Herbert's concerns about all the "stuff that's bubbling out," Swallow asks, "Why would you step down from a duly elected office when two-thirds of the people in Utah elected you because of your vision and your platform?" Really?
If Swallow actually believes that nonsense, he is far more delusional than I could have imagined.
