A handful of protestors gathered Friday outside the Wallace F. Bennett Federal Building in Salt Lake City to protest the National Security Agency's PRISM program, which recent media reports say have collected mountains of private digital information from leading telecommunications companies. The protest was organized through social media by Roy activist Chris Snoke, and came on the heels of a larger PRISM-focused event at the Utah State Capitol on Wednesday, which drew about 40 people. Activists in Utah are also organizing another rally scheduled for the Fourth of July that will focus on the Fourth Amendment, which they feel is being violated under the NSA's surveillance programs.
